Alfa Romeo produced so many iconic cars in the early days of motoring, most noteworthy the 6C and 8C series. Because Alfa Romeo did not produce their own bodies at the time this Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS was bodied by Zagato of Milano. This resulted in a sportive and distinctive design which can be marked of the greats of Zagato. The car had no removable top but had in case of bad weather a textile emergency cover protected against rain.

Clearly the 6C 1750 GS was built for racing which it did with great success due to its 85bhp 6-cylinder in-line engine. Several works race cars had their cylinder heads welded to the engine to achieve higher revs resulting in an even higher output of 102bhp. Therefore the 6C 1750 GS scored numerous wins like the 1930 and 1931 Mille Miglia.

This scale model by CMC is again an astonishing detailed model of this great Alfa Romeo. Even the red covers to enhance the streamline of the 6C 1750 GS are replicated in great detail. Therefore it is the model to have for any Alfa Romeo afficiado.
